Request a replacement router when you renew your contract or Plusnet will charge you for one.
Plusnet will provide you with a free router when you renew your contact, but only if you ask for one within 3 months of renewing your contract.
If you ask for one after 3 months, they will charge you.

Is Plusnet Unlimited really Unlimited
How much broadband can I use? All our broadband is now unlimited. So you can go online as much as you like without worrying about having to pay extra.
However, we haven’t always offered unlimited broadband, so if you signed up for Plusnet a while ago you might still have a limit on how much you can use.
Does Plusnet work with Sky Q
Re: Sky Q and plusnet Changing broadband provider doesn’t require returning any Q television boxes, just the Sky hub.
Multiscreen and Mini boxes work with any fixed line ISP: they get their data signal from the main Q box, which itself talks to the new router.
Can I keep my Btinternet email address if I move to Plusnet
To keep the BT email address you need a BT mail account – similarly with a plusnet email address you’ll need a plusnet account.
If you plan to change suppliers you need to look at registering your own domain, this you can migrate between suppliers.
Is Plusnet broadband fast
Customers on Unlimited Fibre get an average upload speed of 9Mb† and those on Unlimited Fibre Extra get an average upload speed of 18Mb†.
Are Plusnet routers dual band
Newer Plusnet Hubs are ‘dual band’ so the decision on which band to connect to is left to the device.
If your device is close to your router then it should prefer the 5GHz band as it offers the best speed.
Do you get a free router with Plusnet
Plusnet review: Unlimited Broadband A router is included, although the current Hub Zero – a rebadged Sagemcom – isn’t the most advanced.
It’s limited to 802.11n speeds and only supports a single 2.4GHz band.
Can I use my own router with Plusnet
The settings you need to connect to Plusnet broadband using your own router. If you’ve got a router of your own (one that we haven’t sent you), read on for the settings to use to get connected.

How long is Plusnet contract
Plusnet contracts usually last 12 or 18 months. If you must leave Plusnet while still in-contract, you will be charged an early termination fee, which will vary according to how much time is left in your contract.
Does Plusnet throttle broadband
Plusnet do not throttle speeds. You can only use bandwidth once so if you do a speed test whilst download you will get a report showing slower speed.

Is Plusnet signal worse than EE
While 2G and 3G signal is exactly the same on Plusnet as it is on EE.
While 4G is mostly the same on 4G, there is a technical difference: Plusnet use only three out of the four 4G frequencies that EE operate on.
The three they use are the main ones that operate in towns, cities and villages.
How long does it take to get Plusnet broadband
How long does it take to set up? If you’re new to broadband your service should be up and running after 5-10 working days.
If you’re transferring your service from another provider there’s a 10 working day minimum period and you’ll be able to choose a set up date if you wish.
Can I get 5G on Plusnet
No, as Plusnet is a value provider, Plusnet doesn’t currently offer 5G to its customers, only 3G and 4G.
Can I use Sky router with Plusnet
Sadly you can’t use your old Sky Q hub with PlusNet as Sky locked down the firmware and you can’t reconfigure it.
Your mileage may vary, of course. As for using a mesh network, those will work fine as they just plug into an Ethernet port on your router.

Plusnet doesn’t offer TV and broadband packages like BT, Sky or Virgin Media does.
You’ll first need to get Plusnet fibre broadband installed then phone up Plusnet to add TV at a later date.
Plusnet TV is really only aimed at existing Plusnet fibre broadband customers.
Is EE broadband the same as BT
EE Broadband review They’re owned by the BT Group who’s ventures also include Plusnet and BT.
EE now offer a range of services including: Standard adsl broadband, fibre broadband, 4G & 5G home broadband, landline call packages, mobile phones and subscription TV plans.

Standard fibre optic is provided as Fibre To The Cabinet (FTTC).
Is Plusnet Mobile slower than EE
Plusnet Mobile uses standard 4G, which is up to around 5 times faster than a standard 3G network.
In an OpenSignal report from September 2021, EE was found to have average download speeds of 44Mbps and average upload speeds of 9.7Mbps – in both cases higher than any rival.
Is Plusnet hub one a router or modem
The Hub One is a rebranded version of the BT HomeHub 5A router (aka the Home Hub One).
It supports dual band Wi-Fi 2.4Ghz 802.11 b/g/n and 5Ghz 802.11 a/n/ac and has 4x gigabit ethernet ports.
Who does Plusnet piggyback off
Networks like BT Mobile, Plusnet Mobile and 1pMobile piggyback on EE’s network for coverage.
It isn’t necessary to be an EE customer to get coverage from EE on your mobile phone.
This is because a number of other mobile networks also offer EE coverage.

What’s the difference between Plusnet Hub 1 and 2
The Plusnet Hub One is a repurposed BT Home Hub 5A. The Smarthub 2 is currently the latest BT offering.
It has better WiFi performance than the older device. The latest Plusnet Hub Two is based on the Smarthub 2.
Is TalkTalk part of BT
You don’t have to switch all your services over, but it’s important to understand that both Talktalk tv and BT TV are not standalone products – TalkTalk TV is only available to households with TalkTalk broadband and you need BT broadband to get BT TV.
Both BT and TalkTalk offer access to both Sky Sports and BT Sport.
